Nut-Free Packaged Snacks

With my daughter being highly allergic to nuts, I am always checking food labels. Fortunately, nut-free snacks are common now and are also required at most schools. Here are our favorites that are safe for school, playdates, and make perfect on-the-go snacks.

  1. Snapea Crisps- Crunchy and green and simple. Not much to these except that they are an easy snack that kids often enjoy and I tell myself they are a good choice because they're basically eating peas...right?

  2. Mama Chia Chia Squeeze- Can be served at room temperature or refrigerated. These pouches are the perfect on-the-go snack that are packed with Omega 3's and antioxidants. They are a great source of fiber and nutrients and also have no added sugar.

  3. Freeze Dried Strawberries- Freeze dried fruit is such a great snack to have on hand. Our favorites are strawberries and mangos. Both my kids would eat the whole bag in one sitting if I let them.

  4. Annie's Cheddar Bunnies- Always a fan of the Annie's brand. Similar to the classic favorite Goldfish and yet because Annie's is organic, we can know that they do not contain GMOs, artificial colors, preservatives or synthetic colors and they are made with real cheese.

  5. That's It Fruit Bars- My personal favorite on the list because they are so yummy. The name says it all- nothing added to it, no added sugar or preservatives. Just fruit- that's it. And yet , they are delicious and naturally sweet with a texture that isn't too tough for my kids. They also do not contain any GMOs and they are made in an allergen free facility.

  6. Mysupersnack Granola Bites- Soft and chewy like a cookie but contain whole grains and superfoods. Theses granola bites are also vegan and organic.

  7. Made Good Bars- All the flavors are so delicious, you would not even guess that they are packed with veggies. Not only are they all nut free, they are free from the top 8 allergens.

  8. From the Ground Up Cauliflower Stalks- My kids have recently really enjoyed this puffy light snack. They are plant based and do not contain any added fillers or unnecessary ingredients.

  9. Red Rice & Quinoa Thin Stackers- Similar to rice cakes but with an edge. They are nice and crunchy and can be eaten plain or with sunflower seed butter or avocado on top. These thin crackers are organic, vegan, and gluten free.
