Five DIY Christmas Ornaments

I absolutely love the new ornaments we add to our Christmas tree each year. Whether it is seeing how the kids have grown each year, or just admiring the warm touch of something homemade, they always bring a smile to my face. Here are some of our favorites. They are all pretty self-explanatory but I still listed the materials needed for each ornament. They make wonderful gifts for Christmas!





1. Snowman photo ornament

Materials needed

- Three popsicle sticks

- White paint

- Thick construction paper (white, red, & black)

- Googly eyes

- Black and orange marker

- Hot glue

- Photo of child

- Ribbon/twine for hanging



2. Snowman footprint ornament

Materials needed

- Thick construction paper (blue & black)

- White paint & paintbrush

- Black and orange marker

- Red ribbon for the scarf

- Ribbon/twine for hanging

- Hole puncher

- Laminator



3. Reindeer footprint ornament


Materials needed

- Construction paper (light brown)

- Brown paint & paintbrush

- Googly eyes

- Red pom pom

- Hot glue

- Pipe cleaner

- Ribbon/twine for hanging



4. Fingerprint wood slice ornament



Materials needed

- Wood slice (found at Michael's)

- Paint (black for the background and various colors for fingerprints)

- White craft marker


5. Christmas tree ornament


Materials needed

- Three popsicle sticks

- Construction paper (yellow & brown)

- Mini pom poms

- Pipe cleaners (I used two for this one)

- Hot glue

- Ribbon/twine for hanging
